Rock On, Hard On

When I lived in LA, I first lived in Santa Monica, then Bev Hills and then DOWNTOWN. That’s right folks - downtown LA. The place avoided by most unless they’re heading to Gehry’s latest masterpiece - oh, and Johnny Depp who has apparently just bought in my old building.

There are thousands of homeless people in a small area, and the majority of them construct homes out of cardboard to protect themselves from the elements at night. In fact, I have a photo of one such residence that normally resides on my bedroom wall, just to remind me to be thankful of what I’m crawling - or stumbling - into at night.

The fact that it’s 2008 and this isn’t getting any better is just seriously messed up.
